There was an Illinois motorcycle accident Sunday (October 11, 2015) in Carpentersville. The accident happened during the ABATE charity motorcycle ride.
Emergency responders went to the accident scene at approximately 12:46 p.m. The accident happened near the intersection of Main Street and Green Road.
According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened when a motorcycle, with passenger, attempted to avoid hitting a motorcycle helmet on the roadway that had fallen from another motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, Curtis Dalton, 46, of Warrenville, was taken to Advocate Christ Samaritan Hospital for treatment of his accident injuries.
The passenger was identified as Sara Nickence, 43, of Aurora. She was taken to Delnor Community Hospital.
