Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Rock Island

There was a fatal motorcycle accident Monday night (May 30, 2016) near Augustana College in Rock Island.

An excerpt from the qconline.com article of May 31, 2016, titled “Moline man dies after motorcycle hits guardrail near Augustana Monday night“:

The accident happened just after 8 p.m. Monday when a 2015 BMW motorcycle driven by Alisher Bakhriddin, of Moline, hit the guardrail at 38th Street and 5th Avenue, according to Rock Island Deputy Police Chief Jason Foy. 

Bakhriddin, 24, of Moline, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his accident injuries.  According to Rock Island Coroner Brian Gustafson he was pronounced dead at 11:11 p.m.   Gustafson said the preliminary cause of death was multiple injuries to the chest, pelvis and abdominal area.

This fatal Illinois motorcycle accident remains under investigation by the Rock Island Police Department and the Rock Island County Coroner’s Office.

Fatal Marion County Motorcycle Accident

There was a fatal Illinois motorcycle accident Monday evening (May 30, 2016) on Route 37 north of Kell, in Marion County.

According to the Illinois State Police (ISP) the accident happened just before 10 p.m., as a car was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 37.  According to the preliminary investigation, at that time the car left the roadway, traveled on the right shoulder, and then the driver “overcorrected” and the car entered the northbound lane and struck two motorcycles in a “head-on” collision.

Two people on one of the motorcycles were identified by the Marion County Coroner as Terry Hatcher, 50 (the motorcyclist) of Centralia and Rhonda Hatcher, 49 (the passenger) of Centralia.  Terry Hatcher was pronounced dead at the accident scene; Rhonda Hatcher was airlifted to Salem Township Hospital, where she later died.

The other motorcyclist was identified as Stephen Jackson, 57, of Centralia.  He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his accident injuries, and then flown to St. Louis University Hospital.

The driver of the car was identified as Roy Albert, 37, of Salem.  He was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of his accident injuries.

Fatal Motorcycle Crash On Lake Shore Drive In Hyde Park

There was a fatal motorcycle accident Monday night (May 30, 2016) on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood.

According to the Chicago Police Department, the accident happened at approximately 8:00 p.m. in the 5700 block of South Lake Shore Drive.  At that time, the motorcycle hit a wall as the motorcycle was heading northbound.

An excerpt concerning the motorcyclist from the Chicago Tribune article of May 31, 2016, titled “Motorcyclist killed in crash on South Side“:

The man, identified as Kenneth Middlebrooks of 2000 block of Dogwood Trail in Merrillville in Indiana, was taken to Northwester Memorial Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Middlebrooks was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Motorcyclist Dies Following Bolingbrook Crash

A motorcyclist has died following a motorcycle crash on May 22, 2016 in Bolingbrook.

According to Bolingbrook Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the motorcycle accident happened at 12:47 a.m. Sunday, at Reagan Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue.

At that time, the motorcycle struck the raised median, and apparently the bike rode on the median for approximately 60 feet.  After that, the motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle.

When first responders came to the accident scene, the motorcyclist was unconscious and had various injuries including those to his head, arm and legs.

The motorcyclist was identified as William Sladek, 35, of Lombard.  He was first taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, and later was flown to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.  He died on Wednesday (May 25, 2016) night.

An excerpt from the May 26 Chicago Sun-Times article titled “35-year-old motorcyclist dies after Bolingbrook crash“:

An autopsy found he died of head injuries from the crash, and his death was ruled an accident, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The accident remains under investigation by the Bolingbrook Police Department.
