Fatal Motorcycle Accident Near Paxton, Illinois

There was a fatal motorcycle crash near Paxton, Illinois on Sunday afternoon, October 26, 2014.

According to the Illinois State Police (ISP) this fatal Illinois motorcycle accident happened at approximately 2:34 p.m., as the motorcyclist was riding southbound on U.S. 45 near Ford County Road 550N.  At that time, for undetermined reasons, the motorcycle veered off the roadway to the right, and went into a ditch, at which point the motorcycle rolled over several times.

According to the Ford County Coroner, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at 3:24 p.m. after being taken to Gibson Area Hospital.

The motorcyclist was identified as Jeffrey R. Wilson, 58, of Paxton.

The investigation into the cause of the accident continues.

Chicago Motorcyclist Dies Following June 14 Accident

A motorcyclist who was injured in a collision in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood a few month ago has died from his injuries.

The motorcyclist, Ricardo Roman, 44, of Chicago, died Tuesday at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.  According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, an autopsy revealed that he died from injuries sustained during the motorcycle accident.

According to Chicago Police, the motorcycle accident which injured Roman happened on June 14, 2014, at approximately 1:00 a.m, in the 3500 block of West Fullerton Avenue.

The collision between his motorcycle and another vehicle happened when the vehicle made an illegal U-turn after pulling out of a parking space.  In doing so, the vehicle collided with Roman’s motorcycle.

After the accident, Roman was hospitalized in critical condition.

Motorcycle Hit From Behind In Joliet, Two People Injured

There has been an arrest made regarding a hit and run accident in which a man driving a car rear-ended a couple riding a motorcycle in Joliet on September 27, 2014.

This Illinois motorcycle accident happened at approximately 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of Bronk Road and Mallard Lane.

According to Joliet Police, the accident happened as the motorcycle was struck from behind by the car.  The driver of the car fled the accident scene.

The married couple riding the motorcycle were both injured after the motorcycle tipped over during the accident, thereby throwing both off the motorcycle.

The couple were both taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

The driver of the car who fled the scene was charged Wednesday with leaving the scene of an injury accident.  According to Joliet Police, the man charged is Justin M. Underwood, 27 of Joliet.
