Woman Seriously Injured In Naperville Illinois Motorcycle Accident

A woman was seriously injured Wednesday night during a motorcycle accident in Naperville, Illinois.

The accident happened when the woman was riding her 2002 Honda CBS motorcycle east on the 900 block of East Ogden Avenue at about 7:20 p.m.  According to Naperville Police, a 2002 Ford Excursion was pulling out of a commercial driveway and failed to yield to the motorcycle, thereby colliding with it.

The woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville.

The driver of the SUV, James M. Sisson, 52, of Glen Ellyn, was not injured during the accident.  According to police, he was cited for failing to yield from a private drive.

Man Dies From Injuries Sustained During Niles Illinois Motorcycle Accident

On Sunday a 36-year-old man from Morton Grove, Illinois died of injuries sustained during a Thursday (September 22) motorcycle accident in Niles.

Witnesses say Felino Bingayen exited a private drive onto southbound Austin at high speed.  As he sped down Austin on his Honda CF4 motorcycle, he lost control and was ejected from the bike, hitting the ground hard.  The accident occurred at around 8:36 a.m. in the 7100 block of Austin Avenue.

Niles paramedics took Bingayen to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston; he died on Sunday afternoon.

Niles police cited Bingayen for driving too fast for conditions, having no valid registration and no proof of insurance.

According to police, he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Woman Dies From Motorcycle Accident Near Savanna Illinois

A woman died after a motorcycle accident near Savanna, Illinois on Saturday evening.

The woman, Robyn Chambers, 52, was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by a friend, former Jefferson County District Attorney David Wambach.

The accident was reported at 7:20 p.m. on Ridge Road, near the intersection of Haas Road.  The accident occurred when the motorcycle slid into a ditch after Wambach swerved to avoid debris in the road.  Chambers was reportedly thrown from the motorcycle when it slid into the ditch.

She was taken to St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford, Illinois where she was pronounced dead at 11:29 p.m.

Wambach, 52, of Lake Mills, was treated at a hospital in Clinton, Iowa and then released.

The accident is under investigation by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department.

Man Dies In Motorcycle Accident In Collinsville Illinois

A motorcyclist and his passenger were involved in an early morning motorcycle accident Saturday in Collinsville, Illinois.

According to officials, Derrick A. Wurth, 27, was killed when his motorcycle ran off the road, hitting a curb in the 2200 block of Vandalia.  He was ejected from the motorcycle.  He was pronounced dead at the scene due to what was believed to be head injuries.  He was said to not be wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.  The accident happened around 8:00 a.m.

His passenger, Elizabeth S. Morrison, 28, was also ejected from the motorcycle during the accident.  She was taken to a local hospital, and her condition is unknown at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.

Herrin Illinois Man Dies After Motorcycle Accident

A fatal motorcycle accident occurred in Illinois on Friday September 23.

The accident occurred at approximately 12:24 p.m. when Jerry Zallen, 75, of Herrin, IL was riding his motorcycle and hit a pickup truck on Illinois Highway 127.

Zallen was traveling southbound on a BMW motorcycle and hit the pickup truck as the truck was turning left into Salt Petre Cave.

Upon impact, Zallen was ejected from his motorcycle and later died from injuries sustained.

No one in the truck was injured by the accident.

Police say the driver of the truck was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn.
